We are looking for youth in California to participate in a paid study exploring young people's health-related opinions and behaviors including alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. The study is being conducted by the Prevention Research Center of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation and is funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

The study will involve a confidential interview with an eligible youth in your household. The interview will include questions about alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and beliefs, and potential consequences such as drinking and driving.
The interviews take 20 to 30 minutes on the phone or online, and respondents will receive $25 for their participation. Every six months after the first interview, youth will be contacted again to complete an online follow up interview for which they will receive another $25 gift card for a combined total of up to $260 to complete the first survey and six follow up surveys. Taking part in the first survey does not mean the youth must participate in the follow up surveys.
