Heritage breed on the Slow Food Ark of Taste, pure American Guinea Hogs
Look at what some of my clients say:
"Best pork EVER!" -Mike
Mike has his professionally processed at my location and then transports to butcher for cut and wrap.
"The meat on this boy was super tender my brother in law said it was almost like beef." -Cameron
Cameron takes his live and butchers at his home.
AGH are a smaller homestead, heritage breed and are a joy to raise or I wouldn't have been doing it for more than 10 years. They are so much easier to handle than other hogs. They love their tummy rubs. They till your garden in spring, they hunt vermin better than cats and they discourage coyotes and other predators.
And they make some pretty delicious pork. Deep red meat and superior marbling. If you love bacon and sausage (look at that perfect fresh grind in the last pic!) or cook with lard this is the breed for you.
Pics are random; Many ready for slaughter. All sizes (approx 60 to 280lbs) available priced from $180-$400
