Salix alba ‘Vitellina’ (Golden Willow) is an excellent, fast-growing willow for basketry, producing long, straight, and flexible rods with bright yellow winter bark. It is widely used for robust, rustic, and agricultural basketry. It should be coppiced annually (1 ft height) to maintain color and yield.
Grows a beautiful yellow golden bark that dries to a dark brown sometimes with a shade of orange. Prolific and easy to grow. Needs slightly longer soaking times.
