Job Title: Fiber Optic / Wire Installation Lead & Field Supervisor
Location: Chico & Yuba City, CA
Pay: Starting at $25/hour (based on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic / Wire Installation Lead & Field Supervisor to join our growing team in the Chico and Yuba City area. This position is responsible for leading field crews, overseeing installation projects, and ensuring high-quality work and safety standards in fiber optic and low-voltage wiring projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead installation crews in fiber optic and wire infrastructure projects
• Oversee daily job site operations and ensure projects stay on schedule
• Perform and assist with fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and testing
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety requirements
• Coordinate with project managers and communicate progress updates
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical guidance to team members
• Maintain proper documentation of work completed
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in fiber optic, telecommunications, or low-voltage wiring required
• Prior lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of fiber installation, pulling cable, splicing, and testing equipment
• Ability to read construction prints and network diagrams
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with fiber splicing and OTDR testing
• Safety certifications (OSHA, etc.) are a plus
• Experience managing small field crews
